The Manor & grounds

With its impressive façade, landscaped grounds and ornate interior details, The Manor Holcombe is a fine example of Georgian design. This elegant Grade II listed country home has been sympathetically restored to enhance its original features while introducing all the necessary and more luxurious modern additions to ensure a comfortable stay.

The house is set across three floors with eight to ten beautiful large bedrooms on the top and bottom floors allowing guests to enjoy time together, whilst at the same time, should they wish, to have space to retreat to relax. The price for the house as standard is for eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms. Up to two additional bedrooms with ensuites can be added additionally if required.

Ground floor

Step inside to a grand central gallery hallway with its columns, winding staircase and original stained-glass roof light which showcases the stunning period features. The floor to ceiling Georgian sash windows and doors allow natural light to flood through the interiors. From the ornate embossed ceilings and cornicing to the panelled doors, it feels like a piece of living history. An interesting art collection adorns the walls while a pleasing mix of period furniture alongside modern equipment and soft furnishings will really make you feel at home.

The fully equipped country kitchen and connecting breakfast room provide a vast social space for cooking and entertaining with a range cooker (with two fan ovens), American fridge freezer, Nespresso machine, microwave, two dishwashers and doors to a laundry room. A large and elegant dining room with a long banquet table and log burner is ideal for special celebration meals.

There are plenty of options for indoor entertainment which will appeal to all ages. In a separate games room, there is a full-sized pool table and smart TV while the lounge has a smart TV, DVD player and a small library of books to borrow during your stay. The large drawing room with its plush chairs, log burner and piano, provide a welcoming space for guests to socialize in. A host of family board games are provided.

After long walks in the surrounding countryside, any muddy outside gear can be left in the convenient boot room. You can also shower down your dog here as well-behaved dogs are always welcome at The Manor.

First floor

A sweeping central staircase takes you up to the first floor where you will find five spacious double bedrooms, all furnished and styled for comfort. The master bedroom has its own en suite bathroom while the other four bedrooms share two large luxury bathrooms and a bespoke beauty / vanity room.

Lower ground floor

Down the stairs to the lower ground floor is where you will find a fully equipped gym with a treadmill, cross-trainer, water rowing machine, bench, weights, yoga mats, TV and DVD player. On this floor there are a further two elegant double bedrooms and one twin bedroom, each with their own ensuite bathrooms.

The West Wing

Located in the newly refurbished West Wing, you will find two luxury bedrooms, each with their own ensuite bathrooms. These can be added to your stay if you require additional space, and will take the capacity of the house to 22 guests. Grounds

Step through large patio doors to the well-maintained gardens incorporating expansive level lawns, mature wildflower beds, ponds and ancient trees. There is even a playground with a treehouse which children adore. In warmer summer months, the large, heated swimming pool and dining table will give you plenty of entertaining space outside. Around the pool there are luxurious seating areas and loungers for relaxing together.

To the rear of the property is a beautiful, sheltered courtyard garden complete with vintage festoon lighting. Here you will find a top of the range hot-tub with underwater lighting and bubble-jet system allowing you to soak away tired muscles.
